Child Focus launched a campaign to raise awareness of devastating effects of deepnudes

Child Focus launched an awareness campaign as part of Safer Internet Day to draw attention to a growing phenomenon: deepnudes. These are realistic but partially or completely faked nude images or videos of a person, created by artificial intelligence (AI). 12.8 per cent of Belgian youth are familiar with deepnude apps, and 60.5 per cent of them have already tried to make a deepnude themselves (1). Deepnude technology makes it possible to digitally undress people without their knowledge. Clothing removed from the body becomes unbearable for the victim.

Safer Internet Day in Austria: New study highlights online sexual harassment

On the occasion of Safer Internet Day on 11 February 2025, Saferinternet.at, Austria's Safer Internet Centre, presented a current study on the topic of sexual harassment online. The results clearly show that sexual harassment on the internet is a sad part of everyday life for many children and young people in Austria. Almost 40 per cent of 11 to 17-year-olds have been confronted with it.
